1. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE: ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

 

 

Department of Information Technology has established a Center of Excellence for " ROBOTICS PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA)" under MOU signed by D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi with a renowned software company VIRTUSA. This MOU signing & inauguration ceremony was held on 4th December 2018.

RPA Training for Students

The training on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in association with VIRTUSA powered by AUTOMATION ANYWHERE has been started from 18th February 2019. Total 264 students from following departments have enrolled for the training.

2. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE: INFORMATION SECURITY

                                                                     

Department of Information Technology inaugurated Two Centre of Excellence for Information Security and Data science on 13th July 2019. Department has setup the Centre of Excellence for Information Security in Association with Hackers Era. The following were eminent Dignitaries for the inauguration ceremony of these Centre of Excellence's

AWARENESS PROGRAM

Department of Information Technology had arranged an awareness program for second year IT students about the functioning and benefits of Information Security Centre of Excellence that is established in association with Hackers Era on 18th July 2019.

TRAINING SESSIONS

The training of 45hrs on "Information Security" under centre of excellence in association with Hackers Era  has been started from 24^th July 2019. Total 83 students from second year of Information Technology Department have enrolled for the training. The resource person is Mr. Vaibhav Gaikwad (Final year student of  IT Dept.) who has successfully completed certification for Penetration Testing Consultant.

3. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE: DATA SCIENCE

Every sector of the economy now has access to more data than would have been imaginable even a decade ago. Businesses today are accumulating new data at a rate that exceeds their capacity to extract value from it. The question facing every organization that wants to attract a community is how to use data effectively — not just their own data, but all of the data that’s available and relevant.  Our ability to derive social and economic value from the newly available data is limited by the lack of expertise. Working with this data requires distinctive new skills and tools. To bridge this talent gap and to upgrade the skills of students, Department of Information Technology established the Centre of Excellence in Data Science.

• Preeti Patil, Mr.A.J.Patankar and Mrs. Rajasree RS are  undergoing “Professional Certification Program for Data Science by IBM”
• Preeti Patil and Mrs. Rajasree RS has completed NPTEL program “Python for Data Science”

  

Trainings for TE students under CoE

A training module on Python for Data Science of twenty hours has started for students from 5^th March, 2020 . The training is focused on TE students where a total of forty students have enrolled for the module.
