INDUSTRIAL VISIT ON PUNE MUMBAI EXPRESSWAY MISSING LINK PROJECT

SE CIVIL students had privilege of visiting the Pune Mumbai Missing Link Projects to assess the progress of Tunnels T2, managed by M/s. Navyug Contractors, and Viaduct V2, overseen by AFCONS. The ambitious project aims to enhance connectivity between Pune and Mumbai, providing a crucial missing link in the transportation network

Students of Civil Department Visited Bhaje Caves Malavli under IKS.haja Caves are a group of 22 Buddhist caves located in the Pune district of Maharashtra.These caves belong to the Theravada branch of Buddhism (Under the Hinayana school).These caves lie at an important ancient trade route from the Arabian Sea to Deccan Pleatue, which connected North and South India.Bhaja Caves Lonavala are monuments of national importance protected by the Archaeological Survey Of India.

TE CIVIL students had privilege to visit The Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Goverment Medical College and Hospital in Satara.It is a significant aimed at enhancing healthcare care services and medical education in the region.The institution is planned to be developed in three phases with the first phase completed and second phase underway.

Students of Civil Department Visited Bara Morachi Vihir under IKS.Baramotichi Vihir is a stepwell in 'Limb', Satara village in Satara district.

The well is octagonal and looks like a dug-out Shivling. The entire structure of the stepwell is made of black stone.With its 12 moats, it was meant to be a water source to the surrounding farms. It was also utilized to relieve the overflow of water during monsoon times. From the top, visitors can see a few tiny walls and water channels. Various old statues and historical structures are found in this well. Mahal is also situated there.

Students of Civil Department Visited The Red Fort, built during the Mughal era, showcases impressive civil engineering, particularly in its construction materials, wall design, and water management systems. It utilizes red sandstone and marble, and its asymmetrical walls are a testament to its innovative planning. The fort also incorporated advanced masonry and water management techniques, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to urban planning.

FERROCEMENT SITE VISIT AT KHOPOLI

Students of Second year Civil Engineering visited the Ferrocement construction of Retaining Wall and Swimming Pool at Khopoli.

ONE WEEK  WORKSHOP ON " CREATIONS WITH FERROCEMENT " FROM  29 JANUARY 2025 TO  31 JANUARY  2025.

To make the students aware of the Ferrocement / Ferrocrete technique and to give hands on experience on casting of Ferrocement units, a Ferrocement Workshop on ―Ferrocement Creations‖ was organized in Department of Civil Engineering in association with Ferrocement Society from 29 January  2025 TO  31 January 2025

Students observed an example of well planned city that is Chandigarh, also they have seen famous rock garden which is an example of recycling of ceramic tile, glass and other waste.
Shimala, Kullu and Manali are famous tourist spots which was also enjoyed by students and then followed by Wagah border for the Beating retreat where they feel proud as an Indian
At the end of journey all have taken blessings at Golden temple Amritsar.

ONE WEEK  WORKSHOP ON CREATIONS WITH FERROCEMENT " FROM 26TH FEBRUARY 2024 TO FRIDAY 1ST MARCH 2024

To make the students aware of the Ferrocement / Ferrocrete technique and to give hands on experience on casting of Ferrocement units, a Ferrocement Workshop on ―Ferrocement Creations‖ was organized in Department of Civil Engineering in association with Ferrocement Society and ISTE between 26th February 2024 to 1st March 2024.

It was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. P. P. Lele- President, Ferrocement society; Mr. Girish Sangle- Project Coordinator, Ferrocement Society in the presence of Dr. Mrs P. Malathi- Principal, DYPCOE, Dr. S. S. Sarnobat- Vice Principal, DYPCOE, Dr. A. B. Mote- Head of Civil Engineering Department and Mrs Smita Pataskar- coordinator of the workshop.

A memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ferrocement society and DYPCOE in the areas of Campus Recruitment, Industry Visits, Internships, Guest
Lectures and R & D activities.

 

SITE  VISIT AT  KAILASH PARVAT FERROCEMENT  CONSTRCUTION  MAPRO  FOODS  WAI

A Site visit was arranged to Kailash Parvat, Ferrocement construction Mapro foods Wai for second year Civil Engineering students on 9th Feb 2024. During the site visit, they observed the feeromcemt construction process and operated some of the activities themselves and gained some hands on experience of the ferrocement construction

 

"ONE WEEK NATIONAL LEVEL WORKSHOP" FROM 1ST JUNE TO 7TH JUNE 2022 ON OCCASION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY.

Civil Engineering Students Association, Department of Civil Engineering in association with Institute of Engineers(India),Pune organized "One Week National Level Workshop" from 1st June,2022 to 7th June 2022 on Occassion of "World Environment Day". Various Activities were arranged during this One Week National Level Workshop like Tree Plantaion, Expert Webinars, Campus Cleanliness Drive, Poster Making Competition, Street Play. On 7th June 2022 ,Concluding Programme was organized at IEI, Pune were Mr Sanjay Khare,(Board Member & VP-Sustainability), Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd were invited as Chief Guest for the function. They mainly highlighted on Importance of saving our "Only One Earth" through the concept of Sustainable Development. 

 

 

 

   "Farewell 2K22"

On 5TH May,2022  Civil Engineering Students Association organized "Farewell 2k22" Yaadein on 5th May,2022.Usha Kategaonkar, Sub Divisional Engineer at Water Resources Department(WRD) were invited as the Chief Guest for the Function. Distinguished Alumnis selected in MPSC were felicitated. Faculties and students felicitation was also carried out. Students of SE,TE and BE actively participated in extracurricular activities at the function.    

                                                                                                                                                                                    

NADI UTSAV 2022

  "NADI UTSAV 2022" ON 22ND MARCH 2022 On the occasion of World Water Day 2022, Civil Engineering Student Association, Department of Civil Engineering in association with Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation organized River Cleaning Drive on occasion of “World Water Day” on 22nd March,2022 at Moraya Gosavi Ghat,Chinchwad. The drive was named as “NADI UTSAV 2022”. “NADI UTSAV” also means river festival which aims at cleaning of river. CESA students carried out this drive to create awareness among people for cleanliness or river and to keep environment clean by avoiding pollution. Students from EnTC and Computer Department also accompanied for the drive. This drive was successfully carried out by removing non degradable waste and garbage in ghat area.
