1. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE: ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

Department of Information Technology has established a Center of Excellence for " ROBOTICS PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA)" under MOU signed by D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi with a renowned software company VIRTUSA. This MOU signing & inauguration ceremony was held on 4th December 2018.

TRAINING SESSIONS

The training of 45hrs on "Information Security" under centre of excellence in association with Hackers Era has been started from 24^th July 2019. Total 83 students from second year of Information Technology Department have enrolled for the training. The resource person is Mr. Vaibhav Gaikwad (Final year student of IT Dept.) who has successfully completed certification for Penetration Testing Consultant.

The question facing every organization that wants to attract a community is how to use data effectively — not just their own data, but all of the data that’s available and relevant. Our ability to derive social and economic value from the newly available data is limited by the lack of expertise. Working with this data requires distinctive new skills and tools. To bridge this talent gap and to upgrade the skills of students, Department of Information Technology established the Centre of Excellence in Data Science.
